Moose Symposium 2025
Applying for a travel award
There are two types of scholarships awarded by the symposium organizers. The purpose of both is to support
students and researchers who lack sufficient financial resources to travel to and participate in the symposium.
The scholarships are primarily intended to cover travel expenses, and the amount awarded mainly depends on the
distance. However, you can also receive funding for the conference fee itself, so it may be worth applying even
if your travel costs are low.
The general application process is simple and takes place when you submit an
abstract to the symposium. You are eligible for
the travel award if you are a Master's student, PhD student, Postdoc or belong to a Non-Governmental (or industrial) Organisation.
If you live in North America, you can also apply for a travel grant from the Journal
Alces, which awards a
limited number of travel scholarships. A requirement is that you plan to submit a manuscript to Alces.

Decisions will be announced on April 10.
